Why Solo Camping Might Be For You

Have you ever thought about going camping solo? Going camping by yourself can be a really relaxing and enjoyable experience. It is a great way to find yourself and just clear your head in general. We all need a brain break where we get away from all the stress that life throws at us. Camping alone also has some nice convenience perks as well that I will go over.

Make Some Time For Yourself

Whether work has you stressed or just the everyday pressures of life, it is so refreshing to just get away for a little bit. Take some time to go to a campsite by yourself and the benefits will be obvious! You can take time to self-reflect for example. Self reflections can be very useful to provide clarity! They can also become a lot clearer when you are self reflecting at a beautiful campsite with stunning views. Solo camping can be very stress relieving as well. Getting out into nature can really be good for you and your mindset. Just forgetting the real world for a while and being present in the wild can be a game changer for dealing with stress! When coming back from a solo camping trip, you will immediately notice how much better you feel than when you left for the trip.

Other Perks Camping Alone

Sometimes it’s good to be selfish! We all need to treat ourselves once in a while and going camping by yourself is a perfect way to do just that. You make your own schedule. This means you get to do exactly what you want to do. Hike when you want, wake up when you want, eat what you want, or relax when you want. The decisions are completely up to you. This way you don’t have the added pressure of taking care of others or entertaining them which can be stressful in itself! Don’t get me wrong, it’s also great to go camping with friends and family, but everyone could use some alone time!

Conclusion

Exploring nature alone can be very cathartic. It has the benefits of practicing peaceful mindfulness as well as taking some much needed alone time. If this sounds like a good idea to you but maybe you're a bit intimidated by the idea of going camping alone, remember to start small. Go somewhere that isn’t too far and maybe a well known campsite. Also maybe do shorter trips at first! Lastly, be sure to always tell someone where you are going (this is a good idea even when not solo camping). So go and take some time for yourself, you’ve earned it!
